Day 5
We begin our last full day at Disney's Animal Kingdom. Jonathan blends in so well with this picture!
See that dragon under the Animal Kingdom sign? Before the park opened, they had planned to open a Beastly Kingdom, a land for mythological creatures. They scrapped the idea, deeming it too expensive but...never say never. They have enough land for it. And truth be told, without Expedition Everest, that park really isn't going to hold your attention all day.
Tree of Life.
On line for Expedition Everest. Those flags you see are prayer flags.
Going up!
We don't look very scared. More like we're hanging on for dear life! Which, to be honest, we were. I had my big camera on me and Jonathan was holding his video camera. Speaking of which, since we documented the whole trip, you can be sure we recorded the ride too! It's so fun to watch. By the way, the little girl in the back row is so darn cute...gets me every time.
Last year, I almost lost one of my contacts on this ride. I couldn't see squat out of my left eye for the duration of the ride. I remember it flying out and just throwing my hand over my eye to save it. Luckily, I did since I didn't have a spare set nor my glasses with me on that trip. This year, they remained safely in my eyes and I enjoyed the ride, being able to see and all :-P
Back at the hotel...
That evening, we went to Epcot, as we had reservations in France. And not so coincedentally, we were celebrating our 16 month anniversary, LOL :)
Jonathan could definitely pass for an official Disney photographer here LOL :-P
Morocco at a distance.
Day 6
Since I didn't take a lot of pictures on our last day in Disney World, I figured I'd include it in the same post. We decided to go back to Epcot because all those other visits, we really didn't get to explore in depth. Unless you devote an entire day to it, you're really not going to get to see all the magic of the place.
Test Track was the first ride we stopped at.
Amen.
We stopped at Norway.
In Germany. My mother swears she has a picture of herself in Germany (the actual country LOL) as a young girl, in front of a statue very similar to this.
Italy.
I didn't want to wait on the long line for a picture with these two so I stole someone else's children for the shot, haha. How cute is that boy's fake smile? LOL. And I swear that Jasmine is the belly dancer from Morocco. (See above picture).
Waiting at the hotel for the bus to take us to the airport :(
Flight home. The sunset is breathtaking!
It might just be a glimpse into Heaven.
Jonathan watched some Monday Night Raw...
...while I watched Strasburg work his magic.
And we come back to this!
